gene product
Генный продукт — полипептидная цепь, транслированная (см. Трансляция) с молекулы иРНК (см. РНК информационная), которая в свою очередь транскрибируется (см. Транскрипция) с гена. Если РНК-транскрипт не транслируется (напр., рРНК, тРНК), тогда молекула РНК сама является генным продуктом.
